tiosnap is the portfolio of Tio Jung, a photographer and designer based between Las Vegas, Nevada and Salt Lake City, Utah. It collects commercial and product photography, portraits of people and musicians, travel and everyday snapshots, short films, graphic and logo design, web design, and Tio Edition — a slower personal practice in light, craft, and material.

  The original plan was to visit the Salt Flats. The cameras just happened to come with us. Somewhere between setting up tripods in 95-degree heat and trying to keep salt out of camera bags, the day became one of my favorite shoots of the year.

About

Hi, I'm Tio. I make photographs, short films, and the occasional identity — mostly between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.

A lot of it starts close to home. I'm the person in charge of running WAYB, Inc., so much of the product work here is WAYB and Gentle Wuff gear I know inside out. The rest is people — family, friends, musicians — and Tio Edition, a slower personal practice in light, craft, and material.

Whatever is in front of the lens, I try to keep it honest: good light, real moments, nothing louder than it needs to be.
